Villiera Tradition Brut NV

This “Méthode Cap Classique” (bottle fermented sparkling wine) is a blend of red and white grapes displaying the full, balanced yeasty complexity synonymous with a wine made in this style. The wine retains its fresh racy zestiness that is a result of crisp acidity and delicate fruit.

Villiera Tradition Rosé Brut NV

Joyful, rich pink colour, vivacious cascading bubbles and the full rich flavour of Pinot Noir combined with the elegance of Chardonnay and the uniqueness of Pinotage providing the colour. This is the Tradition Rosé - rich in flavour with a long finish.

Villiera The Clan 2015

Intensely perfumed with dark berry fruit, liquorice, violets and underlying tobacco, spice and graphite. It is full bodied with ripe succulent tannins and great length. The wine is complemented by a small percentage of Carignan, which freshens the wine, improving drinkability while creating a point of difference.

Villiera Monro Merlot 2016

Intensely aromatic with forthcoming berry fruit and hints of chocolate, spice and vanilla. It is well balanced with velvety texture but with enough grip to ensure good length.

Villiera Monro Brut 2011

Rich, creamy, yeasty nose, with a refreshing flavour on the middle palate developing finesse and complexity on the aftertaste. Powerful and rich to drink now, but it will still continue to improve for up to 3 years.

Villiera Sauvignon Blanc 2017

In keeping with the trend towards fruit driven wines this Sauvignon Blanc displays intense varietal character including gooseberry and fig flavours. The introduction of wine from
the cooler Elgin area has ensured greater freshness and vibrancy.

Villiera Chenin Blanc 2018

The wine has intense fruit and honey with a hint of wood spice on the nose, including pineapple, guava and citrus. On the palate it is rich and full bodied with good balance and a long finish.

Villiera Jasmine 2018

A floral, slightly spicy white wine which is fresh, light and slightly sweet but complex enough to drink with food (fusion and spicier dishes).

Villiera Bush Vine Blanc Fumé 2017

This approach resulted in a more structured wine that required longer bottle maturation before release. The green pepper, fig and slightly smoky character was nicely complemented by some oak spice. This wine should keep for up to 5 years and the new style typifies the terroir it grows in. This is an exciting departure from what we usually did and it embraces new trends in winemaking to ensure greater versatility with food.

Villiera Traditional Barrel Fermented Chenin Blanc 2018

The wine displays tropical fruit with a hint of pineapple, citrus and honey. The oak plays a supporting role with subtle spice.

Villiera Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

The 2016 vintage shows classic dark berry fruit with a hint of dark chocolate and violets on the nose. On the palate it is well balanced with rich, soft tannins.

Villiera Merlot 2016

The colour of the wine is brilliant red. The aroma shows hints of wood spice with attractive red berry fruit. On the palate the wine is rich and full with juicy soft tannins and good acidity. The wine has a long finish but is drinkable at present.

Villiera Pinotage 2017

A new style Pinotage with subtle oak spice, plums, vanilla and a slight smokiness on the nose. On the palate it is soft but well structured with good length. The wine is well balanced and can be enjoyed now with the potential to age for a further 5 years.

Villiera Inspiration 2010

This botrytis infected noble late harvest is a blend of Chenin Blanc and Riesling and has a brilliant golden, tawny appearance. It is intensely fragrant with hints of honey, raisins, marmalade and nuts penetrating the aroma. On the palate it is rich and sweet, but with sufficient acid to balance and it lingers forever.

Villiera Down to Earth Red 2016

An explosion of spice and dark berry flavours with the tannin caressing the palate. The extra dimension of integrated oak was all that was needed to complete the picture of a modern wine that illustrates the art of blending.

Villiera Down to Earth White 2018

The wine is lively and fresh with a hint of passion fruit and gooseberries from the Sauvignon Blanc. The Semillon contributes the more herbaceous, grassy character as well as complexity to the palate. It also contributes to the balance and makes you reach for another glass. Due to limited use of additives the wine is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

The delicate aromas ensure compatibility with food. It shows hints of red berries and a terroir based minerality with a fresh, light finish on the palate.

Domaine Grier Olympus 2012

The wine is powerful and well-structured with great length. Dark berry fruit dominates but there is abundant spice and a hint of liquorice. The oak plays a supporting role and contributed to achieving harmony in the blend.

Domaine Grier Chardonnay 2016

A lightly wooded Chardonnay with a bouquet of citrus and hint of pear. It is fresh with an underlying minerality but balanced by a long creamy finish.

Domaine Grier Grenache 2014

The wine shows classic red berry fruit and cherries with a hint of spice and underlying vanilla chocolate. The rich soft mouth feel is typical of Grenache but it is well structured ensuring maturation potential.

Villiera Starlight Brut NV - The Light Cap Classique

The wine clearly expresses the minerality and spice expected from the vineyard and it is supported by fruit and a hint of aniseed. It is naturally fresh with good palate weight and balance.
